Estonia: Government Ratifies Council of Europe Anti-Trafficking Convention
In February, Estonia became the forty-third country to ratify the Council of Europe’s Convention on Action Against Trafficking in Human Beings. The COE Trafficking Convention is intended “to prevent trafficking in human beings, protect victims of trafficking, prosecute traffickers, and promote co-ordination of national actions and international co-operation.” The Convention will become legally binding for Estonia on June 1, 2015.
