Cyprus: Organization Launches Russian Language Website to Help Women Victims of Violence

The Cyprus organization, One Woman At A Time (OWAAT), has launched the “world’s first” website in the Russian language to help women victims of violence. The site will allow women to learn their rights and file for no-contact or emergency protection orders and divorce. OWAAT hopes the website will assist an estimated 40,000 Russian-speaking women in Cyprus to escape abuse, as well as help millions of other women in the Russian-speaking world.

OWAAT’s website is also available in English and Greek and the organization has plans to launch it in other languages, including Arabic, Ukrainian, and German.
