Germany: Survey Indicates Some One-third of Young Men Consider Violence against Women Acceptable
A survey of young Germans, commissioned by the children's charity Plan International Germany, indicates that one-third of the German men surveyed, ages 18 to 35, considered violence against women acceptable, and 34% admitted to having been violent toward their female partner. Just over half of the men want a 'breadwinner-housewife" relationship, which was opposed by over two-thirds of women surveyed. Nearly half of the men also stated they dislike public displays of homosexuality.
