Lithuania: Lithuanian Parliament Considering "Crisis Pregnancy” Law Amendment

The Lithuanian parliament is considering implementing amendments to the Law on the Rights of Patients and Compensation of the Damage to their Health that would require doctors to inform women who are considering an abortion about “crisis pregnancy” services. Women’s rights advocates emphasize that this amendment would interfere with a woman’s ability to make a private decision to have an abortion and increase the stigma around abortions in Lithuania.
