Afghanistan: Schoolgirls Poisoned by Conservative Radicals

In northern Takhar Province Afghanistan approximately 150 girls became ill after drinking poisoned water. According to Afghan officials, the water was poisoned by conservative radicals who oppose education for girls. Some of the girls are listed in critical condition after suffering headaches and vomiting.
