Croatia: Legal Amendments Proposed for Specialization of Judges re. Violence Against Women

Croatia's Ministry of Justice has announced the proposal of legal amendments to specialize judges in cases related to violence against women. The proposals come in the wake of the baseline evaluation report from the Council of Europe's Group of Experts on Action Against Violence Against Women and Domestic Violence (GREVIO), regarding the nation's implemention of the Istanbul Convention on violence against women and domestic violence The proposals also aim to improve the system of protection for women who are victims of violence.
