Namibia: Hackathon Creates Tech-based Solutions to Combat Violence against Women
The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), along with several partner organizations, recently sponsored a hackathon at the Namibia University of Science and Technology to develop innovative technology for use in fighting domestic violence and raising awareness of women’s rights. Young computing and other experts gathered at the University to produce web and mobile-based applications that help victims of violence during the 24-hour event.
