Armenia: New Program Educates Legal Professionals on Violence against Women
Legal professionals in Armenia recently gathered to participate in a new online course that focuses on educating prosecutors, investigators, and attorneys about domestic violence and violence against women. This course began the day after the Armenian National Assembly passed new legislation to combat domestic violence. The program, Human Rights Education for Legal Professionals (HELP), aims to help Armenian participants understand and apply international and newly enacted domestic standards and, ultimately, improve access to justice for victims of violence.
