Balkans and Hungary: Escalating Cyberviolence Against Women

Human rights activists report an escalation of cyberviolence against women during August 2023, in Balkan countries such as Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania and Serbia, as well as in Hungary. The websites TikTok and Telegram seem particularly problemmatic, raising questions about shortcomings in their content moderation practices.
