New Report: WAVE Releases 2017 Statistics on Women’s Support Services in Europe

The organization Women Against Violence Europe (WAVE) has issued its annual compilation of data on the availability of support services for women survivors of violence in forty-six European countries. According to WAVE, the “overall picture” presented by the data is “an important indicator of state response to preventing and combating violence against women.” The term “support services” includes residential shelters, rape crisis centers, women’s centers, help-lines, outreach and similar services intended to help and support women survivors of violence and their children.

The full 2017 report as well as an explanation of how data is collected an analyzed is available on WAVE’s website.
