Greece: Government to End Support Services for Women Victims of Violence
According to Women Against Violence Europe (WAVE), the government of Greece announced plans in December to shut down all support services for women victims of violence. This action would leave most Greek women survivors of violence without access to shelter, counseling and other vital services. WAVE and the European Anti-Violence Network have called on the Greek government to reverse its decision to end support for victims of violence.
