Canada: Video Call Accommodation Allowed to Protect Domestic Abuse Victim in Court Proceedings

In what is regarded as new accommodations for a survivor of domestic abuse, a woman in British Columbia was allowed to testify behind a screen in family court, and the defendant, who had already pled guilty to assaulting her, watched the proceedings from another room. Advocates want such accommodation to become more widely available in Canadian courtrooms.
