Russia: Tver Region Outlaws "Coercion" into Abortion

Russia's Tver region has followed the Mordovia region in outlawing the act of "coercing" women into having an abortion. A number of penalties have been adopted for "persuading, suggesting, bribing or deceiving" a woman into having an abortion. These laws add to concerns about a possible nationwide abortion ban.
