Conference Highlights Domestic Violence Policy in

The Autonomous Women’s Center presented a June 2007 conference highlighting the “Austrian Model of Intervention in Cases of Domestic Violence” within the framework of the Stop Violence against Women Campaign of the Council of Europe. In order to develop a more effective strategy in Serbia and elsewhere in the European Union, experts presented domestic violence as a public, not private, issue. Domestic violence was also analyzed as a human rights violation and as an issue of gender inequality.
