New Report on the Health Consequences of Trafficki

The London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine recently released a report looking at the health consequences of women who have been trafficked. “Stolen smiles: The physical and psychological health consequences” provides some of the first statistical data on women who have been trafficked.

“Stolen smiles” examines the physical and mental impact as well as the sexual and reproductive health consequences suffered by women who have been trafficked. The report also deals with violence before the trafficking causing some women to become more vulnerable to trafficking.
