Council of Europe Secretary General Urges Members

Council of Europe (COE) Secretary General Terry Davis chose 24 November, the day before the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, to tell member nations they must do more to support women who are victims of violence. He specifically urged member nations to go beyond passing laws to setting minimum standards for victim services. The same day, COE published two studies on improving data collection and victim support and protection.
