The UN website contains a page on the Special Rapporteur on violence against women, its causes and consequences, which includes reports, NGO statements, draft resolutions and information about issues in focus and country visits.
 
NGOs are encouraged to use the individual complaint form for submitting communications to the Special Rapporteur of violence or threats of violence against women.
 
Chapter VI of the UN Handbook for Civil Society covers Special Procedures (Special Rapporteurs and working groups), including how to access and engage these mechanisms to protect and promote women’s human rights.
