UN: New Guide to Ensure Safe Consultations with Survivors of Gender-Based Violence

UN Women has developed a guide to help organizations conduct safe and ethical consultations with survivors of violence against women and girls (VAWG). The guide provides essential principles and practical steps to ensure that survivors’ voices are heard without causing further harm. It emphasizes confidentiality, informed consent, and trauma-sensitive approaches to prevent retraumatization. By promoting survivor-centered consultations, UN Women aims to improve policies and services that effectively address gender-based violence.
