Côte d’Ivoire: Integrating gender into Climate Justice efforts

On December 10-12, 2024, the African Development Bank facilitated a South-South exchange between Burkina Faso and Ivory Coast to share knowledge on Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation (REDD+) safeguards and the integration of gender into efforts to combat deforestation and implement climate policies. During the exchange, participants discussed the importance of understanding the varied impacts of climate change on men and women and how these differences influence the implementation of socially just projects.
