Europe: WAVE expands access to support services for women

To mark 30 years since the Beijing Declaration, the Women Against Violence Europe (WAVE) Network has relaunched its “Find Help” database, the largest platform in Europe for connecting survivors of gender-based violence with nearly 2,000 specialized support services in 46 countries. With gender-based violence affecting one in three women in the European Union (EU), the improved database ensures easier access to critical, feminist-led support, including shelters, helplines, and crisis centers. However, a severe shortage of specialized services and persistent funding challenges threaten these life-saving resources. By strengthening this tool, WAVE reinforces its commitment to ensuring survivors receive the assistance they need while continuing to advocate for long-term solutions to end violence against women.
