Afghanistan: Afghan Women’s Resilience Shines Through Amid Taliban Restrictions

Despite the Taliban's restrictive measures on women's rights in Afghanistan, initiatives supported by UN Women, such as community-led storytelling, Radio Femme, and Begum TV, continue to empower Afghan women and girls by providing education, advocacy, and a platform to share their experiences. These programs have become vital for raising awareness of women's rights, including inheritance and education, and have supported many Afghan women’s voices despite severe restrictions. Programs like Radio Femme and Begum TV not only help women engage in learning but also bring hope by fostering a renewed sense of agency and community support. Such efforts reflect Afghan women’s resilience and determination to advocate for their rights amidst significant challenges.
